How Does Tocozulen® A+E+C Ointment Work:
The effect of Tocozulen® A+E+C Ointment is based on the principle of creating occlusion by using a mixture of dermatologically-proven vegetable oils (coconut, almond, shea butter and Babassu), which moisturizes dry skin, thereby reducing water loss and increasing the skin’s hydration. Moreover, the ointment helps epithelize the skin using Vitamin A, Vitamin E, guaiazulene and calcium pantothenate.

How Does Babassu Oil Work?
Babassu oil is pressed from the seeds of Babassu palm trees (botanic name: Orbigya oleifera), which grow in South America in the Amazon. It bears nut-like fruit. The seeds of this fruit contain 60 – 70% oil. The natives have been using this oil for centuries as a natural remedy for skin problems. The oil hydrates the skin, thereby preventing the skin from drying out. It contains lauric acid, which has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. It also contains antioxidants similar to tocoferol, which has a protective effect on the skin.
