What is Lipozulen®:
Lipozulen® is an ointment containing carnauba wax, avenanthramide, guaiazulene, vitamin E (tocopherol), beeswax and coconut oil. It is intended for lip care. StoppOx® is used as an antioxidant, which is a mixture of synergy-acting Vitamins E obtained from sunflower oil (non-GMO). StoppOx® is currently one of the most modern and most effective natural antioxidants. The oils in Lipozulen® do not change their sensory or quality characteristics. The ointment is suitable for the care of dry lips prone to cracks (ragas). It helps to soothe them. The product can be applied on newborns. Is packaged in a 7ml plastic tube. The tube is packaged in a box with the Instructions for Use.

Warning for people allergic to parabens and lanolin – does not contain parabens and lanolin.

How Does Lipozulen® Work:
The action of Lipozulen® ointment is based on the use of the protective properties of carnauba wax, the soothing effects of avenanthramide and guaiazulene, the emollient effect of a mixture of dermatologically proven vegetable oils (coconut, sunflower) and beeswax. It lubricates dry lips and promotes healing.
What some of the ingredients in the product are also used for, if they are contained in medicines.
How Does Carnauba wax Work?
Cera carnauba (carnauba wax) is extracted from the leaves of the Brazilian wax palm (Copernicia prunifera). The scientific synonym for this name is Copernicia cerifera Mart. The wax is obtained by crushing the dried leaves. The final product is a light yellow to yellow powder or small amorphous waxy flakes or solid. It is characterised by its content of glycols (about 20 %), hydroxyl fatty acids (about 6 %) and cinnamic acid (about 10 %). It is used to produce solid ointment externals suitable for the treatment of dispersed circumscribed lesions.

How does Avenanthramide Work?
Avenanthramide is a natural plant polyphenol with anti-oxidant effects occurring in oats (Avena sativa). Locally applied avenanthramide decreases itching and redness of the effected skin. The soothing effect of an oat bath has been known since antiquity.
It is primarily known for its anti-itching effect, which is still used in dermatology today for soothing various conditions related to itching of the skin, such as atopic dermatitis or eczema.

How Does Vitamin E Work?
Vitamin E, tocopherol has significant antioxidant effects. It is intended for local therapy of trophic and leg ulcers, scleroderma circumscripta, lichen sclerosus et athrophicus, lichen planus, balanitis obliterans, kraurosis vulvae, induratio penis plastica and xerotica obliterans.

How Does Guaiazulene Work?
Guaiazulene is a mixture of alkylated azulenes. These are the main acting substances in chamomile flowers. Guaiazulene has mild anti-itch, astringent, anti-inflammatory and bacteriostatic effects. It promotes granulation and epithelization.

How to Use Lipozulen®:
Apply a thin, even layer 4-8 times during the day. At night, apply the ointment in a thicker layer.
Warning:
For external use only. If there is no improvement in the skin or irritation occurs, stop using the product and consult your physician. Do not use in case of an allergy or hypersensitivity to any one of the ingredients in the product.
Storage and Transportation Conditions:
Store at 15 to 23 °C, out of the reach of children and in its original package.
If the product solidifies in the tube, heat it briefly to body temperature!
Do not use the product, once the date on the box and tube has expired.
